With upbeat discussions a feature, Gilgandra Alive held its annual general meeting at the Royal Hotel, Gilgandra on Wednesday, September 9.
Once formalities were completed and a board re-elected, the meeting then delved into enthusiastic dialogue about the future of the organisation moving forward and its goals. We welcomed two new members and re-elected the board and committee positions. Congratulations and special mentions to the elected committee including: Madeline Foran (president), Jess Camlin-Reed (vice-president), Emily Horan (secretary), Cameron Wendt (treasurer), and Jessica Watson (publicity officer).
We all came to agreement that Gilgandra Alive has one collective aim - to support local lovers of the creative arts and encourage them to express their passions.
Being a member of an organisation like Gilgandra Alive is a wonderful opportunity to gain friendships and be involved in sharing our niche crafts.
This year we will host our third 'Cruisin’ Into Christmas' concert at the Gilgandra Shire Hall (more details to come), and we are excited to entertain the community once more.
The 2026 concert is fundraising for the charity Medical Wings to support those who require the service provided to our community.
We hope that you will join us and we thank the CWA Evening Branch for donating their time and services to provide an intermission supper.
As the year progresses, we plan to host many more events that each highlight different areas of the creative arts.
Please look forward to a plethora of talent from our locals, and keep an eye out for more news from Gilgandra Alive!
