Gular’s hot streak continues in Bendigo Bank ABC Shield
Gular remain undefeated after dismissing Curban for just 68 defending a moderate total at McGrane Oval.

The 54-run win on Saturday, December 6 marked five from five for Gular, defeating Biddon-Tooraweenah, Gidgee, Town Services, Dunedoo and now Curban.
They sit well clear of the congested pack behind them in an interesting start to the 2025/2026 season.
After winning the toss and batting against Curban on Saturday (December 6), Gular posted 122 all out in 25.3 overs,
Amongst a lot of starts, Preston Ah-See (26) was the standout. Rodney Newman and Jerome Chatfield both made 17 each down the order, the pair sharing a vital ninth-wicket partnership of 29 after Gular had slumped to 8-82. Slater Peters (16) and Jaylem Peters (12) also chipped in.
Curban skipper Scott Chandler had the excellent figures of 6-46 from his eight overs, with Anthony Barry (1-29 off eight overs), Kane Younghusband (1-17 off four overs) and Joe Alchin (1-2 off three balls) Curban’s other wicket-takers.
In reply, only Andrew Newstead (23 not out) could make double figures for Curban as they were bowled out in 20.3 overs.
It was a good team bowling and fielding effort from Gular, with Jaylem Peters (3-26 off 6.3 overs) and Levi Peters (3-12 off four overs) leading the way with Jerome Chatfield (2-9 off four overs) and Preston Ah-See (2-21 off six overs) offering great support.
USC-Marthaguy and Biddon-Tooraweenah met in a cracking day-nighter at McGrane Oval, Gilgandra on Friday, December 5.
Biddon-Tooraweenah batted first and made 9-149 off its 40 overs before USC-Marthaguy (6-153 off 39.4 overs) chased down the total in its final over.
Luke Harrison top-scored for Biddon-Tooraweenah with 30 while Bevan Peart (27), Clint Walker (23) and Jon Kilby (19) also made contributions.
Col Irving (3-13 off five overs) was a key bowler for USC-Marthaguy while Will Young (2-15) and Hugh Duncan (2-28) delivered impressive eight-over efforts.
Kilby (2-8 off eight overs) was brilliant early as USC-Marthaguy were reduced to 2-2 in reply but every batter then chipped in to get the visitors home.
Richard Flinn top-scored with 40 and Duncan (35), Mark Glasson (25) and Trevor O’Malley (20) all played important knocks, with Young (17 not out) and Hugh Maunder (eight not out) guiding USC-Marthaguy home, Young sealing the success with a boundary.
Harrison (2-20 off four overs) and James Best (1-34 off seven overs) were Biddon-Tooraweenah’s other wicket-takers.
Gidgee secured an important win against Dunedoo in a high-scoring contest at Coonamble Sportsground on Saturday, December 6.
A strong team batting effort propelled Gidgee to 8-188 off 40 overs.
Ronnie Hertel top-scored with 45 while Tallis McEwen (39), Mitch Nalder (26), Roshan Tinari (25), Joe Keady (20 not out) and Jarrod Page (15) all chipping in.
Dunedoo’s Nathan Duce had a brilliant double with 84 and 3-30 but it wasn’t enough as Dunedoo was bowled out for 179 in their 37th over.
Nalder backed up with his batting with an impressive bowling effort for Gidgee, returning the miserly figures of 0-17 from seven overs with two maidens.
Justin Fernando (3-28), Elvy McEwen (3-35), Tallis McEwen (2-18) and Joe Keady (1-41) were able to take wickets off the back of that pressure.
Nathan James (3-33) also had a good game with ball for Dunedoo, while Jake Ferguson (25) and Oliver Chamings (18) made starts in the unsuccessful run chase.
In the other scheduled fixture, Coonabarabran picked up a handy win the easy way after Town Services forfeited to the Kookaburras.
