Gilgandra Panthers16s are Champions
The Gilgandra Panthers Under 16s have won the G14JRL grand final 30-22 against Coonmable.

The Gilgandra Panthers Under 16s have finished their season on a high, claiming victory in the Group 14 Junior Rugby League Grand Final against Coonamble 30-22 at Baradine on Saturday, August 22.
Charlie Whiteman got player of the match with Sailor Ryan taking home player of the season.
The young Panthers have enjoyed an incredible season, continuing their unbeaten run and making it their third consecutive year undefeated.
For many of these players, the success is particularly special after watching them grow together from their under sixes days.
What started as a group of young kids playing football has developed into a talented and determined team who have continued to achieve remarkable results together.
Their grand final victory was a fantastic reward for the commitment, hard work and dedication shown by the players, coaches and families throughout the season.
There is plenty to be proud of as these young men continue to represent the Gilgandra Panthers and their community with pride.
Congratulations to the Gilgandra Panthers under 16s on an outstanding season and another memorable grand final victory it has been a pleasure to coach/manage an amazing group of young men for the 2026 season.
Netball Continues On
Our netballers continue their season in Dubbo with the last round due to be played this weekend.
Sportsman’s Dinner
Gilgandra Junior Rugby League and Netball would like to say a huge thank you to Royce Simmons and the Royce Simmons Foundation for your incredible support and for bringing such a special event to our community.
A Sportsman’s Dinner was held on Saturday night celebrating rugby league, community and the life and legacy of our very own John Farragher OAM.
It is incredibly special to see Gilgandra play such an important part in this year’s Royce Simmons Foundation Big Walk, with Royce beginning his journey from right here in Gilgandra to raise vital funds and awareness in the hope of finding a cure for dementia through medical research.
We are incredibly grateful that our club was able to be part of the fundraising dinner and to benefit from the generosity and support of the Royce Simmons Foundation.
A special thank you to Royce Simmons and everyone who travelled to Gilgandra and helped make the night such a memorable occasion.
