Gilgandra Lawn Bowls action
Rambo is back, but his motivational skills didn't equate to victories in Gil pennants action.

Pennants
Round Four of pennants bowls had both the fours and the sevens playing at home.
The fours played Narromine and were defeated 9-1 with the score on the board being a very close 65-60.
The Noel Raines-skipped team which included Shaun Marchant, Blake Cook and Dylan Marchant had a very good 30-11 win.
Trevor Briese and his team of Garry Raines, Wenden Riley and Evan Kew were defeated 26–12.
Danial Riley and his crew of Tracey Riley, David Duffy and Brent McKenzie also went down 28-18.
The sevens played against Coonamble and were also defeated with the score being 8-2 and another close score on the board of 64-60.
Skip Bob Dicks, Stacey Reynolds, Dave Jones and Baden Fisher had a 22-21 win.
Gil Riley’s team of Jill Hankins, Ed Wlodarczyk and Jayden Doran had a 20-17 victory, while the Norm Lummis-skipped team of Mal Altmann, Leroy Gregory and Maxine Elsom had a very luckless defeat going down 26-18.
A huge appreciation to our barbecue chef Bob Rogers, helpers Janelle Lummis and Cath for serving and cleaning up and also our scorers Rambo and Parkey.
Without these volunteers there would be some very hungry bowlers who don’t know the score.
Next Sunday (March 8) the fours will be at home against Nyngan. The team remains unchanged for this match.
The sevens will be on the road to Coonabarabran with only one change being Bruce Parker coming in for Norm Lummis who is having a bit of respite for this match.
Good luck to both teams!
Rambo is back – and in fine form!
It has been very quiet at the club on bowls days of late with Rambo being off the scene because of his very dicky knees but this all changed on Sunday when he was back in fine form (after the game) in his new role as the official head scorer and also motivation manager.
It was very hard for Rambo to keep quiet during the match as he has to be seen as being impartial.
Therefore he will be holding a motivational evening come pep talk this week with Rambo kindly providing marinated chook legs and some homemade cookies.
Good onya Rambo and good to see you back involved with bowls, be it in his new official roles, after being a very valued bowler over many years.
