Socials Bowls
Fourteen bowlers enjoyed social bowls last Wednesday, January 21. The winners with the most ends plus the win were Jill Hankins and Tracey Riley who showed no mercy in rounding up Ed Wlodarczyk and Mal Altmann with the score being 28- 6 in the girls favour. In other games, Ray Riley and Stacey Reynolds defeated James L’Homme and Bob Rogers, 18-14. Steve, Peter Cook and Gil Riley had a 20-8 win against Bruce Parker, Dave Jones and Garry Garbutt.
Sunday’s pre-Australia Day bowls also had 14 starters. The winners were Jo Raines and Gil Riley. The runners-up were Bob Dicks and Noel Raines, while Jill Hankins, Ed Wlodarczyk and Dylan Marchant came in third place.
Pennant Bowls
Pennant bowls will commence on Saturday. February 14. The Fours will be at home against Narromine on the Saturday while on Sunday, February 15 they will travel to Nyngan. The Seven’s will play at Coonamble on the Saturday and play at home against Coonabarabran on Sunday. After the games on that weekend there will be only one round played every Saturday until the rounds are completed.
